Character Sketches

Carrying on with my pre production for my animation idea, I have been sketching some rough character ideas for the girl involved and her toy whale which comes to life:

Pre-Production in its early stages

I have recently been working on the pre-production stages for an idea for a short animation which involves a girl at the aquarium with an imaginary whale. Here are some initial concepts for my idea:

Dinosaur Animation

As well as the rocket animation, I also helped to animate the dinosaur for our live brief project. For this animation I was given the key-frames and did the in-betweens, and then after some changes and improvements made by others, I coloured the final animation.

Rocket Animation

For our live brief module, my group are having a scene at the beginning with a 2D rocket and dinosaur on screen with a 3D UFO and 3D buildings. For this scene, I have been looking at the 2D elements. Here is the finished animation of the rocket to go into this scene which I animated and coloured.

The many faces of Vision

For our live brief group, I've been designing the character 'Vision' for our animation. This had to look dissimilar to the Marvel version of Vision and had to fit the style of our other character. Here is a first attempt, followed by the final turnaround design.

TV Paint

I've been doing some animation for some third-year animation student's films this term and for their project, have been learning to use TV Paint. I enjoy using this software a lot and to get used to using it more, I did a really rough test animation for my group's live brief project.
